RIVERLAND REVEGETATION INCENTIVE SCHEME

In partnership with the other Riverine Local Action Planning Associations, the River Murray Catchment Water Management Board and the Natural Heritage Trust, the Berri Barmera LAP committee offers financial incentives to individuals and community groups who wish to undertake revegetation works or projects which protect existing native vegetation.

EXPRESSION OF INTEREST for INCENTIVE PAYMENTS 2003

Expressions of Interest are now being sought from individuals, partnerships and groups for projects in the Riverland Local Action Planning areas that aim to improve natural resource management in horticultural and riverine areas. Please note that applications for this round close on Friday, 21st February 2003.

Your project will attract incentive funding if it includes:

  • Protection and enhancement of remnant native vegetation (including wetlands)
  • Revegetation using local native species
  • Planting of woodlots for groundwater use and for re-use of irrigation water.

General Notes:

  • Your Local Action Planning Association will assess all Expressions of Interest and subsequent project applications.
  • Completion of this form is not binding and does not guarantee an incentive payment. All incentive payments are subject to the availability of funding and are at the discretion of the Local Action Planning Association.
  • A total maximum payment may be set for projects depending on the funding availability.
  • The acceptance of incentive payments for this project does not exclude the applicant from applying for future incentive schemes.
  • The high priority options for areas of horticultural production are listed in this document. Other options are available for dry-and farming areas.
