IRRIGATION MANAGEMENT 2 DAY WORKSHOP
(RiverCARE)

The irrigation management two day workshop, formerly known as the RiverCARE Course, provides a general introduction to soils, landuse, irrigation systems and management practices.

* Day 1 -SOILS: The Soils workshop covers many issues including different types of soils, how to interpret soil plans, how much moisture soil can hold before drainage occurs, root zone depths, and crop suitability for differing soil types.

* Day 2 - IRRIGATION SYSTEMS & SCHEDULING: The Irrigation Systems & Scheduling workshop covers irrigation system plans, different irrigation equipment, pressures and flows, pump performance, filters, distribution uniformity and the overall efficiency of your on-property irrigation system. The day also provides a basic introduction to irrigation scheduling and differently types of scheduling equipment currently available on the market.

The course is designed for all irrigators whether using Under-Tree, Micro-Jet, Overhead, Drip, and Subsurface irrigation systems. We also welcome flood irrigators.

The course is fully catered for, including morning and afternoon tea, and a light lunch.
