The Loxton to Bookpurnong Local Action Planning Committee represents a cross section of the local community. Although each member has his or her own interest and reason for being involved, all members share the common goal of aiming to improve the environment of the region and the River Murray, and to ensure that current land use and irrigation practices remain sustainable into the future. Each member of the committee is elected for a two year term. The aim of the committee is to reflect the views of the entire community, and to ensure that projects are undertaken which provide the most substantial benefit to the environment whilst reflecting the needs of the community. In this regard, suggestions are always welcome and can be forwarded to any member or by contacting Paul Stribley.
