The Berri Barmera Local Action Planning Committee in consultation with the community have released a number of documents and reports which highlight issues which are present and of concern to the local community / region, and recommend priority actions for on ground works to address these issues. The Local Action Plan is a comprehensive busineess document which looks at all of the issues in the region and is used as a basis for determining priorities and accessing funding. The Land & Water Management Plan examines all of the issues associated with Irrigation and Drainage in the Berri and Cobdogla Irrigation Districts. This includes Water Use Efficiency, On-Site impacts of irrigation and Off-Site impacts. Currently the committee is undertaking a study to determine preliminary drainage diversion requirements in the BBLAP area. This will look at the current drainage infrastructure and operation of Drainage Disposal Basins, and will make recommendations for future drainage management. There are also many other documents which have been produced for the committee. These can be accessed by selecting the required document from the list at the bottom of this page.
